Where do rainbows come from?
Once upon a time when God had only recently created the Earth, He was in charge for the Sun, whereas the Devil was ruling the rain. Both God and the Devil were taking turns in their responsibilities. But soon the Devil became rebellious and started to create heavy rainfalls and strong storms. So at one time there were such bad floods and strong winds that all of the living beings on Earth were killed. God didn’t like this and wanted to stop the Devil from doing such things. Nevertheless the rebellious Devil had other plans and did even more damage. When God saw this, he didn’t even look at the heavy rain, but sent strong sun-rays to the Earth. The Devil ignored this at first and continued his misbehaving ways. At last God sent such bright sunshine that it blinded the Devil. The sun-rays were squeezing through the clouds and created a reflection – a rainbow. The Devil immediately gave up, but still to this day he sometimes wraps himself in a black cloud and runs around the Earth.
